Weight

About 7.5–10g

Cantor's roundleaf bat is a small-to-medium Hipposideros with a forearm around 4.75–5.13 cm and reported weight of roughly 7.5–10 g. Its rounded noseleaf and acoustic characters separate it from similar bicolor-group bats, although historical records have sometimes confused related forms (regional species account; specialist taxonomic revision).

It ranges through South and Southeast Asia and uses caves near forest as day roosts. At night it hunts flying insects with constant-frequency echolocation directed by the noseleaf. Because several allied taxa occur together, verified specimens and call data are valuable for mapping its true distribution (regional species account; Mammal Diversity Database). It is Nationally Least Concern (Thailand Red Data 2025).
