Black-striped Squirrel

The black-striped squirrel is a Southeast Asian tree squirrel in the family Sciuridae. Its documented range includes Java, Sumatra, southern Thailand, the Malay Peninsula and numerous nearby small islands. Four subspecies have been recognized, but the available general account supplies no reliable species-level measurements, diet or behavioural details, so those fields are omitted here (Wikipedia, general species account). It is Nationally Near Threatened (Thailand Red Data 2025).
