Tamiops barbei
Range
Mainland Southeast Asia
The Southeast Asian striped squirrel is a small tree squirrel in the Asian genus Tamiops. A recent multilocus study recognizes Tamiops barbei as a species distinct from the Himalayan striped squirrel and places the genus chiefly in East and Southeast Asia. The available specialist material supports its species status and regional occurrence but does not provide dependable species-level measurements, diet or breeding information, so those details are omitted (multilocus phylogeny study).
