The greylag goose is a large, bulky grey goose with a heavy orange or pink bill and pink legs. Native across Europe and Asia, northern populations migrate to milder wintering grounds. It feeds by grazing grasses and crops or taking roots and seeds in wetlands. Pairs are long-lasting, nesting on the ground near water and leading their downy young to feeding areas (Wikipedia, general species account). It is Nationally Least Concern (Thailand Red Data 2025).
