The lesser white-fronted goose resembles a small greater white-fronted goose but has a shorter pink bill, steeper forehead, yellow eye-ring and longer white blaze. It breeds in northern Eurasian tundra and forest-tundra and migrates to wetlands and farmland farther south. Flocks graze grasses and sedges, often mixing with related geese, which can make identification difficult (Wikipedia, general species account). It is Nationally Vulnerable (Thailand Red Data 2025).
