Germain's langur, or Indochinese silvered langur, is a slender arboreal monkey with dark grey to blackish fur, pale eye-rings and a conspicuously long tail. It belongs to the silvered-langur group, whose boundaries have been revised using mitochondrial and genomic evidence. Its range lies in southern Indochina, including eastern Thailand (Mammal Diversity Database; specialist genomic study).

It occupies evergreen, semi-evergreen, riverine, mixed deciduous and gallery forest. Leaves and shoots dominate the fibrous diet, with fruit and flowers also eaten; long resting periods aid foregut fermentation. Groups travel and groom in the canopy and may use limestone as well as rainforest landscapes (species-level ecological study; New England Primate Conservancy). It is Nationally Endangered (Thailand Red Data 2025).
