The red-billed malkoha is a long-tailed forest cuckoo with a conspicuous red bill, grey head, chestnut wings and dark tail tipped white. It occurs in lowland forest and edges across the Sundaic region. Unlike brood-parasitic cuckoos it constructs a nest and tends its own young. Birds clamber and glide through the canopy while searching foliage for insects and occasional small vertebrates (Wikipedia, general species account). It is Nationally Least Concern (Thailand Red Data 2025).
