The Sunda brush cuckoo is a small grey-brown cuckoo with barred underparts, yellow eye-ring and a long rounded tail. It occupies forest, edge and plantations in the Malay Peninsula and Greater Sundas. Birds feed mainly on insects, especially caterpillars, and are often located by a repeated whistled call. Like many cuckoos it lays in other species' nests, leaving foster parents to rear the chick (Wikipedia, general species account). It is Nationally Least Concern (Thailand Red Data 2025).
