The olive ridley is a relatively small sea turtle with an olive-grey, nearly circular shell and paddle-like limbs. It ranges through tropical oceans, diving for crustaceans, molluscs, jellyfish and fish. Some populations nest in spectacular synchronized gatherings called arribadas, while others nest singly. Females return ashore to dig egg chambers on sandy beaches (Wikipedia, general species account). It is Nationally Critically Endangered (Thailand Red Data 2025).
