The milky stork is a medium-sized white stork with black flight feathers, a yellowish bill and bare reddish face in breeding condition. It inhabits mangroves, tidal flats and coastal wetlands in the Sundaic region, probing and snapping at fish, mudskippers and crustaceans. Birds nest colonially in trees, sometimes alongside other waterbirds, and move between feeding flats with the tide (Wikipedia, general species account). It is Nationally Critically Endangered (Thailand Red Data 2025).
