The crow-billed drongo is a completely jet-black bird with a stout bill and a shallowly forked tail, similar in appearance to the black drongo. It is native to the moist tropical forests of south-eastern Asia, where its range extends from India to the Philippines and Indonesia (Wikipedia, general species account).

It breeds between April and June, both birds building the small grass cup nest, held together by cobwebs, in the fork of a slender branch, with the female afterwards incubating the eggs. It eats insects and other small animals (Wikipedia, general species account).
