The yellow-vented green pigeon is a medium-sized arboreal pigeon with predominantly green plumage and a contrasting yellow vent; males and females differ subtly in head and wing colours. It inhabits montane forest from southern China into mainland Southeast Asia. Usually in pairs or small flocks, it visits fruiting canopy trees and swallows fruit whole, but its ecology remains less documented than that of widespread green pigeons (Wikipedia, general species account). It is Nationally Data Deficient (Thailand Red Data 2025).
