The masked booby is the largest booby, predominantly white with black flight feathers, a pointed yellow bill and dark facial mask. It breeds on open ground on tropical oceanic islands and forages far offshore. Birds plunge steeply into the sea for flying fish and squid, using streamlined bodies and air sacs to withstand impact, and usually lay two eggs (Wikipedia, general species account). It is Nationally Least Concern (Thailand Red Data 2025).
